Leroy Wentland and his wife, Andree Lynette Belfrey (Wentland), were performers. Andree was an excellent dancer and Leroy had a trained dog act that frequently appeared on television in the early 1950’s. The dogs were all “Heinz 57 Variety” mutts that had been rescued from one dog pound or another. Leroy Wentland has been acknowledged for his trained dog act in “Ripley’s Believe It or Not”.
